Delivery delays

Damaged goods
Although Sarmai Forniture is committed to choosing the best couriers for their professionalism and punctuality, the transport of goods that contain metal parts, are fragile, or generally have a volume or weight that makes them difficult to handle, there is a high risk of damage. Please note that in this type of purchase, the goods travel at the buyer's risk and no claims for damaged goods will be considered if, at the time of delivery, the recipient has not accepted the delivery with reservation. However, we want to assure you that our commitment to packaging the item and our experience in the sector have allowed us to develop packaging systems for the most fragile goods aimed at preventing possible damage caused during transport.We nevertheless recommend that you carry out the following checks upon receipt of the goods:
- Check that the number of packages delivered is the same as that stated in the shipment tracking information.- Check the integrity of the packages. If the packages show dents, tears, or signs of mistreatment or tampering, even if only to the packaging, it is mandatory to report this to the delivery person and request that they note the defect on the delivery note/delivery note, adding the defect found on the packages. For smaller islands such as Pantelleria, Ponza, Vulcano, Giglio, Elba, etc.and some areas included in the list of areas defined as "remote," shipping by courier may require a surcharge. Invoice
All our orders are shipped with a receipt, however if you are a VAT number holder or need to receive an invoice for your order, we can issue an electronic tax invoice upon request. Please note that the invoice request must be made at the time of ordering, providing all the necessary billing information (header, VAT number, registered office address, and SDI code). If the invoice request is not made immediately after placing the order, we will not be able to issue an invoice later.
Multiple purchases (excluding heavy or excessively bulky items)
In the case of multiple purchases, you can pay a single shipping fee. If there are different shipping costs, the highest amount will be considered, adding a small surcharge for all other items in the order. Defective/damaged goods
Before each shipment, our staff carry out a quality check, quantity, and test the item to be shipped to avoid or minimize any problems related to manufacturing defects. However, on rare occasions, it is possible that the customer may receive a defective item or that the item may have been damaged during transport, compromising its proper functioning. In these situations, we suggest that the customer contact us immediately upon receipt of the goods, reporting the defect found. One of our operators will take care of the request and, depending on the agreement made, will either exchange the item, issue a partial refund (if you keep the item), or issue a full refund (if you choose to return the item).
All items are covered by the manufacturer's general warranty for a period of 12 or 24 months, depending on the type of user (private or business). The deadline for reporting the defect is 2 months from discovery. Depending on the product, the warranty is managed directly by our company or by authorized service centers located throughout Italy. If the lack of conformity becomes apparent more than six months but within two years of delivery, the consumer must prove that the damage is related to a defect that existed at the time of delivery. If the repair of the goods takes place during the validity of the legal warranty, no new warranty period shall apply to the replaced part, which shall therefore expire at the natural end of the warranty period starting from the date of purchase. In order to exercise the warranty right, it is very important to keep the receipts (or better still, a photocopy to avoid the text on the chemical paper being erased) or invoices made out to a natural person or company with a VAT number for the entire duration of the warranty period.
Pursuant to the provisions of Art. 52 of the Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005), the Consumer (meaning exclusively the natural person who makes the purchase outside of their business and/or professional activity) has the right to withdraw from the contract, even without just cause, no later than 14 calendar days from receipt of the goods, unless the conditions provided for by the marketplace are more favorable.If the Consumer has requested cash on delivery, since it is not possible to make a refund using the same system due to a possible violation of current anti-money laundering regulations, the Consumer must indicate in the aforementioned communication the details of the bank account to which the amount due should be transferred. Withdrawal cannot be exercised if one of the following fundamental conditions is not met:
• Absence of the original packaging;
• Absence of supplementary elements such as accessories, manuals, software, etc.;
• Damage to the product for reasons other than transport;• Use resulting in wear and tear of one or more parts of the purchased item;

To avoid unpleasant misunderstandings, we strongly recommend:indicating the name of the person who made the purchase as the sender, including a copy of the purchase order received or a copy of the declaration of exercise of the right of withdrawal inside the shipment.
Refund
Once the item has arrived at our warehouse, it will be examined to verify that all the basic conditions for issuing a refund are met. The refund will be made according to the payment method used to purchase the item, with the exception of orders made with cash on delivery, for which the amount net of the cash on delivery fee will be refunded to the current or bank account previously indicated by the purchaser. Sarmai Forniture reserves the right to charge any costs for damage or loss during transport.
