Description
Multicore Power Cable FG16OR16
The FG16OR16 power cable is a multicore power cable, constructed in accordance with the Construction Products Regulation (CPR) and featuring special fire resistance characteristics. It is composed of flexible annealed bare copper conductors (class 5), high-modulus G16-grade ethylene propylene rubber insulation, non-hygroscopic fillers, and an R16-grade PVC outer sheath. The core color complies with the HD 308 standard and the outer sheath is gray.
Technical characteristics
- Nominal voltage Uo/U: 0.6/1 kV.
- Maximum operating temperature: 90°C.
- Minimum operating temperature: –15°C (in the absence of mechanical stress).
- Minimum installation temperature: 0°C.
- Maximum short-circuit temperature: 250°C for cross-sections up to 240 mm²; over 220°C for larger cross-sections.
- Maximum tensile strength: 50 N/mm².
- Minimum bending radius: 4 times the maximum external diameter.
Conditions of use
These cables are suitable for power supply in construction and other civil engineering projects with the aim of limiting the production and spread of fire and smoke. They can be used indoors, even in wet areas, or outdoors; they are suitable for fixed installation on masonry and metal structures, in open air, in pipes or conduits or similar systems. Underground installation is also permitted (ref. CEI 20-67).
